The submission of the works to the 4th International Contest “Stop Censorship! Citizens for free countries” is now closed.
The admission of works to the 4th International Contest “Stop Censorship! Citizens for free countries”, which unites activism and creative practices, was open during the period of April 22 – June 5, 2016.
Traditionally, participants could submit their works in the following categories: images, texts, poems, slogans and multimedia works dedicated to protection of freedom of speech, fighting the censorship, access to information and special topic – “Corruption is…”
Organizers encourage everyone to participate in online voting on the web site of the Contest – stop-censorship.net. The voting will be open until June 10, 2016.
The winners will be selected during meeting of the experts jury and jury of representatives of anti-corruption organizations that will take place in June.
Overall, participants submitted more than 600 works to the Contest this year from Ukraine, Poland, Canada, Latin America, China, and Middle East countries.
Organizers started the exhibition of the works, submitted to the Contest. Thus, on June 2 and June 3, 2016 exhibitions in Slovyansk and Pokrovsk, respectively, were open. The exhibition in Slovyansk can be seen at platform of initiatives “Teplytsa” (49, Vasylevskogo str.) whereas the exhibition in Pokrovsk has been hosted by platform of art initiatives “Lampova”( 24b, Shakhtarskiy district). In addition, On June 6, 2016 Centre UA opened an exhibition of the works in the lobby of Zoloti Vorota metro station in Kyiv.
